After completing her Undergraduate and Doctorate courses at the University of Minnesota – Twin Cities she served her internships in several smaller towns in Minnesota as well as three months in American Samoa. After graduation she chose to start her career as a traveling Physical Therapist. For five years she traveled across the country, moving every thirteen weeks and gaining experience in almost all portions of Physical Therapy.

In addition to her degree in Physical Therapy Cynthia also has training in Vestibular Rehabilitation, Myofascial Release Therapy, and is Level 1 Pelvic Floor Certified. She’s currently working toward her Kinesio Taping Certification. Here at IPMS she uses modalities such as heat, ice, ultrasound, and electric stimulation in her practice of physical therapy.

Her other experiences include, Outpatient orthopedics, inpatient neurological and acute treatments, skilled nursing, home health settings, nursing homes, and worker’s comp,
Cynthia is happily married to a man she met right here in Alaska. They enjoy everything the Alaskan outdoors has to offer including skiing, hiking, snow shoeing, mountain biking, and kayaking. When she’s not out enjoying the sunshine she can be found reading and relaxing with her pet turtles.
