We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Juliana Shields will be joining the IPMS team as a new provider starting September 1!
Dr. Shields comes to us from Anchor Medical Group and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in Family Medicine. A proud native of Anchorage, Alaska, she understands our community’s unique health needs and is deeply committed to the well-being of our residents.
A graduate of the University of Washington School of Medicine, Dr. Shields completed her residency at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency, gaining invaluable experience right here in Alaska. She earned her medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine, a top-tier institution known for its rigorous training and dedication to primary care.
Beyond her impressive academic and professional achievements, Dr. Shields is an active member of both the American Academy of Family Physicians and the Alaska Academy of Family Physicians. She has also served as the PAMC Department Chair of Family Medicine, showcasing her leadership and dedication to advancing healthcare.
When she’s not providing exceptional care to patients, Dr. Shields loves to embrace everything our great state has to offer. She enjoys backpacking, hiking, kayaking, and visiting remote areas of Alaska and the world.
Dr. Shields’ dedication to Family Medicine make her an incredible addition to our team. We look forward to the positive impact she will have at IPMS.
