We are pleased to welcome Natasha Sherrill, Family Nurse Practitioner, to Independence Park Medical Services. Natasha knew she wanted to be a nurse after attending “Take Your Daughter to Work” day with her grandmother as a young girl. As she became older, Natasha grew to further respect her grandmother’s selfless career. She would listen to her grandmother’s stories of working with patients, and the reward of knowing she had made a difference in someone’s life that day.
Attending college in Richmond, Virginia, Natasha had the opportunity to work in the University’s Hospital. She continued her grandmother’s legacy of service by working in the most physically and emotionally challenging departments: trauma and cardiac intensive care. During her five-year career as a registered nurse, she recognized many patients had a lack of understanding regarding their health conditions. Natasha soon came to realize that she could make an even bigger difference in patients’ lives if she became a Nurse Practitioner. Today she is focused on ensuring her patients are well-educated about their health and any treatment plan prescribed. It’s a dedication her patients appreciate and value.
As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Natasha is able to provide care to patients of all ages, but found Women’s Health particularly rewarding during graduate school. She loves supporting and empowering women in all walks of life – through all stages of life. Building relationships with her individual patients is important; Natasha doesn’t believe healthcare is a one-size-fits-all endeavor.
Additionally, Natasha recently acquired certifications to perform aesthetics treatments to empower IPMS patients with a refreshed and youthful look. Whether you’re looking to smooth wrinkles or add volume to areas that become troublesome with age, Natasha strives for natural-looking results that help patients to feel comfortable in their own skin.
When she is not seeing patients, Natasha is working to build a fabulous life with her new husband and children. She enjoys attending spin class, spending time with her Goldendoodle, Abraham, and traveling. Her favorite destination thus far has been Belize where she learned to spear fish.
If you have any health questions or concerns – or it is time for your yearly exam, please give us a call. Natasha is ready to give you the time and attention your health deserves.
